The visitor only needs to let himself be immersed in the slow time of the village to integrate and experience the secret, authentic side of Agia Kyriaki. Anemologio fine village living does not simply offer quality tourist services, but serves the integration of the visitor into the daily culture of the residents and the slow time of the village, upgrading his visit to Agia Kyriaki from a “vacation” to an authentic experiential experience.

Our tourist accommodation is located on the first floor of a fully renovated central building, in a spot with an unobstructed view of the sea and just a few meters away from it. The southern orientation of the accommodation gives its interior spaces plenty of natural light, since the sun bathes it throughout the day and at the same time ensures a peaceful view of the sea, especially at sunset and a panoramic view of the entire village.

The name translates literally to “beyond the mountains” (referring to the Alps for early navigators). It is a cold, dry, and often harsh wind that brings clear skies and sudden drops in temperature.

Originating from the Sahara and Arabian deserts, this wind is incredibly hot, dry, and dusty. When it crosses the Mediterranean Sea, it gathers immense moisture, often turning into an oppressive, heavy, and muggy wind accompanied by red/orange desert sand

Derived from the Arabic gharbi (meaning west). It is a warm, dry wind that can cause sudden temperature spikes (often referred to as a thermal or “hot” wind) and can whip up rough, turbulent seas

These four words are part of the Mediterranean wind rose (anemologio), a system of traditional, historically Venetian and Genoese nautical terms that Greek sailors and locals use to this day to describe weather patterns.
